Kids Saving the Rainforest (KSTR) is a non-profit organization based in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. Founded in 1999 by two 9 year old girls who wanted to save the rainforest and animals they saw disappearing. Since its inception, KSTR has grown into multiple different programs: Monkey Bridges, Wildlife Sanctuary, Wildlife Rescue Center, Reforestation, Volunteer Learning Program, and a Wildlife Tour.
In 2012, they decided to have their first fundraiser, and were able to raise over $4,500 to help continue the great work they are doing. The money raised will be used in a variety of ways such as feeding the animals, buying medical supplies, building materials for monkey bridges, and much more.
